GREETINGS FROM RYELANDS, CORNWALL!
Although “conditional on the continued containment of the spread of COVID-19” the Government have announced measures “to reopen at least some of the hospitality industry and other public places provided they’re safe and enforce social distancing” in phase three of the lockdown exit plan, which has now been set at 4 July 2020.
As a result, Ryelands is preparing to welcome all guests from 4 July 2020. We are, however, open from 15 June 2020 for Key Workers only (we have taken guidance from the list of Critical Workers published by the Cabinet Office and Department for Education on 19 March 2020 and updated on 5 May 2020).
The Coronavirus epidemic is affecting us all in unprecedented ways and you will naturally be concerned about how exactly we will approach the health and safety of all our guests visiting Ryelands and how our detailed Covid-19 policy is progressing. To that end, please see below the areas we have addressed in our Ryelands B&B COVID-19 Risk Assessment measures to ensure the safety of our guests and ourselves:
- What risk we at Ryelands B&B pose to the business in bringing COVID-19 into the premises.
- What risk our guests pose to Ryelands B&B in bringing COVID-19 into the premises.
- What measures we will take if an infected person has been on the premises of Ryelands B&B.
- What additional cleaning measures will be taken in rooms and communal areas over and above the norm.
- What cleaning materials we will need to source.
- Where we will position hand sanitisers and the like.
- How we will manage check ins and breakfasts.
- What we will require guests to do when on site and how this will be communicated.
- How we will protect ourselves.
- What we can remove from the property that would be an unnecessary source of contamination.
- Identify frequently touched areas.
A detailed copy of our COVID-19 Risk Assessment will be provided to all guests prior to arrival. The assessment will be reviewed regularly in line with Government, NHS and Public Health advice.
Finally, Ryelands is no longer linked to any third parties (i.e. Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com et al), we now operate on Direct Bookings only, which ensures the best rates are offered!

Please let us know if you have any suggestions or queries.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Cornwall!
Refurbished to an extremely high standard, Ryelands Bed & Breakfast – a Bed and Breakfast in Cornwall, U.K. – is a haven of peace and tranquility overlooking the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Situated to the south of the Tamar Valley and looking out over its stunning scenery, Ryelands dates back to the 1920s and offers 3 modern and extremely comfortable en-suite guest rooms.
The Tamar Valley encompasses the rivers Tamar, Tavy and Lynher and is famous for its mining heritage landscape. On one side of the valley is Devon, the other Cornwall, and the valley extends north from the broad estuary at Plymouth to the intricate, deeply incised river that meanders just below Launceston and Tavistock. Ryelands B&B is positioned on the border of the two counties near to Saltash, known as the ‘Gateway to Cornwall’. The Tamar Valley borders Dartmoor National Park to the east and the Kit Hill area to the west. Come and visit this world class heritage area, we cannot wait to meet you!
A stay at Ryelands will appeal to those looking for a top quality Bed and Breakfast in Cornwall with stunning countryside views, and is an ideal base for both leisure and business visitors.
We have a number of different areas where our guests have reviewed us including Booking.com, Google, TripAdvisor and our Freetobook direct booking suite.
