June and July Events in and Around Saltash

Ryelands B&B is ideally situated for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders, explorers of Dartmoor with its miles of rugged moorland and magnificent granite tors or those just wishing to get away from it all and relax.  June and July are big months in Cornwall for outdoor events, thanks to the (mostly) glorious weather we are blessed with!

Plymouth is hosting Flavour Fest from 1st–3rd June 2018, which is the south west’s largest food and drink festival held at the city centre Piazza.

For those of you who love a good agricultural show, it’s the Royal Cornwall Show on 7th-9th June 2018! Held near Wadebridge every year, it’s a great day out for animal lovers, foodies and those looking for some retail therapy and well worth a look if you are in the area.

Enjoy a regatta? The Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival is happening on 9th and 10th June 2018. The 183rd Saltash Regatta held close to Ryelands B&B, is one of the most colourful events held in Cornwall and, certainly for South East Cornwall, and is the most popular annual regatta!

If music is more your thing, why not head to the Polperro Music Festival from the 16th-18th June 2018 and enjoy their arts and crafts fair, village carnival and bonfire – as well as plenty of music, obviously!

An upcoming event that we can highly recommend is Mevagissey Feast Week which is being held from 24th-30th June 2018, which celebrates the feast of St. Peter (as it has done since 1754).  There are numerous events going on throughout Feast Week, including a carnival parade, fete, musical concerts, fireworks and a raft race.

This summer, there really is something for everyone going on in our beautiful part of the world! Love music, books, nature, food and fashion? The Great British Summer Festival – a day of music and entertainment, food, workshops and shopping is happening at Mount Edgecumbe House and Barrow Centre on the 22nd July 2018.

And don’t forget that the Port Eliot festival (held on the private estate of the Earl of St Germans, near Saltash) is happening from the 26th to the 29th July 2018.

There’s always something to see down here in sunny Cornwall – don’t just take our word for it! Visit Cornwall have a great ‘what’s on’ page – find it here: https://www.visitcornwall.com/whats-on
